Sometimes I Wonder
Easter I had lunch with Amy and her sister. She told me about Jordan, she finally called Amy and said oh by the way i'm shacking up with a loser. Wait, cut that loser part out. Jordan then tells this story that she thought was "hilarious" and how Stockboy is "so funny." He went out on a wednesday night after work with some buddies to the bar. He dropped off his car at the house and they left for a night of boozing. Well, 1:30 hits and he's not home yet. Jordan is like, "that's ok, it's not closing time yet, he'll be home soon" Well, it turns into 4am and he's still not home yet. She's up moving around wondering where the hell is he and getting worried. A few minutes later he walks in. He says "can I send Mike home? Are you going to kick me out?" She's like, "why would I throw you out?" Stockboy is relieved to hear this and decides to invite his buddy in to play video games. At 4:30 in the morning. Jordan figured since she was already up (she had early shift at the hospital this week) that she wouldn't go back to bed. So she got ready for work and they were still playing video games when she left at 6:30am.
My question is, how is this funny? The guy is 26 years old and she wants to deal with this crap for the rest of her life? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
I haven't talked to Jordan in a couple of weeks, she called me I think middle of March? She's got this all figured out that she'll be engaged by August and married by October of 2009. "But i'm not going to force him into it, when he's ready to buy a ring I told him I would show him what I like"
So on to AMY and RINGO!!!!
Ringo works for FedEx and he was going to expand his routes and take over the whole tri-city area a few months ago. My thought was "he's not very organized..." Well, they both finally realized that so he sold everything including his truck and now just drives for the guy that he sold it all to. He wants to go to college for a business degree. I said, "does he know what he wants to do after college? A business degree could mean anything, he should know what direction he wants to go" Amy said, "well he was thinking accounting" OK, didn't I just say he's not very organized? If work gets in the way Amy says that he'll quit work and possibly go to school full time. She is a teacher's assistant and works at younkers part time (sometimes less depending on the schedule) which means that money could become tight for them.
We talked about Becky and John in North Carolina. They were on their way to Florida and stopped in for a few days to visit. Amy thinks they're all "snobby". I never thought that, they earned their money by working hard. I think she just doesn't like the fact that they are now on a budget and they can do whatever they want. She's jealous. Oh and Becky wants a baby in 2009. Amy's comment "Of course Becky would say something like that, everything has to be planned to a T - and i'm sure she won't have any issues getting pregnant"
That's when Amy's sister pipes in - "some people have it easier than others Amy, getting pregnant doesn't happen overnight for some people"
Which leads me to believe that - SHE'S TRYING TO GET PREGNANT. However, she's afraid of delivering a baby. She's also on depression and anxiety medication and wants to raise a child? Amy hasn't told me directly they are trying, but all tidbits lead me to this conclusion. And who the hell is going to support them if hubby is in college and she's working part time - which by the way she'll have to quit because she won't be able to be pregnant or have a child and work at the same time. It will be too much for her to handle. Her mom and dad will be supporting them and raising their child. I swear when they leave this world she will be so screwed. She'll lose her babysitter, lawn mower, house cleaner, snow shoveler and her bank.

You're not kidding. You really do have to wonder Whisky Tango Foxtrot his problem is. And hers too! If I did what he did, I'd be signing my death warrant with my wife. Marrying him isn't going to change him either.
