Resolutions - 2008
So here I am after going over to Hugh-dog's house for new years. If I can be honest, I'm still not sure why I go there every year. I'm the only single person that shows up. In reality not very many of their friends are single anymore and they never show up. They all have kids and they not only bring them to the party but talk non stop about children. It makes me feel like i'm 10 years behind and a total reject. You'll understand why when you read my resolutions. I've copied what I wrote in 2007:
Lose 50lbs
Yup, didn't lose a goddamn pound this year. Started to, but reverted right back to my emotionally depressed eating habits.
Get More Organized
Now I have to say I need improvement, but I am better organized.
Try To Cook
I can make tacos, some chicken and certain casseroles. I seriously think I need to buy the "Joy of Cooking" cookbook and make every single thing in it.
Drink Better Beer
Ah yes, this will always be on my list. I do have to say I've discovered Blue Moon beer. Quite nice. I hope to expand my tastebuds a little further this year.
Have An Actual Date
And here is where the reject falls into place. I can't help but think that if I hadn't of moved almost 8 years ago to Detroit I would be married by now with a couple of kids. What happened between the person that had several guys interested in her and many friends, to someone that doesn't go out that much, has barely any friends and is almost utterly alone?
Driving home tonight in snow covered roads made me realize that if I was stuck or in an accident, I had no one to help me. How pathetic is that?
I'm on cold medicine and tired, happy freakin new year.

Heck, I was in bed at 11:30 last night. And was sleeping by Midnight and awake 6 hours later with two screaming kids who never sleep past 6:00am....arrrrgh...
you'll find your guy..it's your year...i can feel it...
Maybe you need to realize that some of your friends sit home lonely every night, too.... but they don't bother to ask you out because they think you're having fun and you don't ask them out because you think they're having fun.
